Vehicle Description Extremely Rare Opportunity! No expense was spare with this Documented and surveyed genuine 1970 Chevelle SS 396 with TWO motors and Two transmissions! The original numbers matching 396 big block and M21 4-speed transmission were removed and replaced with a custom built 670HP/680Ft/Lb Tq Mark Jones (Vortec Pro) engine and custom built M21 4-Speed Muncie tranny built by Jody Haag.
The original 396 engine was inspected and rebuilt with new pistons, valves, rockers, cam, etc.
The original M21 Muncie 4-speed was inspected, cleaned, serviced and preserved.
There were only 7,000 original miles on the car when the engine and tranny swap were done.
This engine and tranny swap was done to prevent the originals to get damaged and allow me to put in a serious big block in to have fun with.
The engine block, heads, etcwere all inspected by my machine shop and verified to be without defects.
The custom 496 was built by Mark Jones (Vortec Pro) and has custom headers built by Dan Lemon.
A Holley Terminator X EFI System has been professionally tuned to complete the package.
New water pump, new aluminum dual fan radiator, new high output alternator, all new brackets, poly engine and tranny mounts, tranny cross member, and new Holley EFI fuel tank.

31 gear Eaton TrueTrac Posi Rear end with C-Clip Eliminators connect to new Strange 33 spline axles and push all of the nearly 700 HP straight to the road.
Connecting all of that power to the road is easy with the all-new Nitto NT555 G2 performance tires (295x40ZRx18 in back and 275x40ZRx18 up front) and polished aluminum American Racing wheels which stand out and keep the classic look of this amazing muscle car! Entire brake system was replaced with complete 4-wheel Wilwood disk brakes (including all brake lines, booster, reservoir and vacuum pump), completely new power steering system (all linkages, Pitman arm, rotors, steering arms, IdidIt Steering Column, power steering pump, power steering reservoir, pulleys, etc).
Entire suspension system was converted from shocks and spring to QA1 Coilovers front and back with tubular upper and lower control arms (complete QA1 coilover suspension system change).
The entire car has been rewired (front to back) with a completely new electrical package from American Auto Wire and Dakota Digital Dash.
Keeping cool while you ride down the road is simple with the new Vintage Air complete in-dash A/C system.
When I say that this car has been completely rebuilt, I absolutely mean it! Down to the Classic Car Stereo (Bluetooth enabled) that looks just like the original radio.
