Program Support Assistant (OA)

Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Prepare correspondence covering subject of an administrative nature, both internal and external Accurately and promptly transmits and receives documents and messages electronically using PCs or workstations. Operates an electronic typewriter, microcomputer, or personal computer terminal, to prepare a variety of narrative and tabular material (e.g., correspondence, reports, technical papers, charts, statistical tables, manuals, travel orders, messages and other documents) involving the common terminology of the unit for which the work is done and requiring accuracy in spelling, grammar, and syllabication. Operates related peripheral equipment such a printers and modems as required. Uses software and printers to create, copy, and edit, e.g., make insertions or deletions or move material from one place to another; store; retrieve; and print a variety of standardized documents using a glossary of pre-recorded formats, form letters, standard paragraphs, and mailing lists. Answers telephone calls, transmits messages, and receives visitors to the Veterans Experience Service Office. Serves as primary timekeeper for Veterans Experience Service. Accomplishes input to the automated Time and Leave System for personnel assigned to the organization. Serves as back-up Alternate Records Liaison, ensuring all written and electronic files are properly accounted for and stored according to the file plan approved by the Facility Records Manager. Serves as Automated Data Processing Application Coordinator (ADPAC), entering all Automated Data Processing requests Office Supply Manager - Manages all office supplies and makes orders as required to ensure staff have ample supplies to complete their work requirements. Performs other related duties as assigned. Work Schedule:

Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-4 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Using a computer and a variety of software packages, utilizes databases or other tracking systems to maintain suspense deadlines, utilizes a purchase card, communicates effectively with a wide variety of individuals at all levels within an organization, provides various clerical office automation support and prioritizes work to meet critical deadlines. NOTE:

You must have an combination of specialized experience and education beyond. only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work, however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
