In support of the USPACOM J8 R23G contract the
system engineer
Principal shall supervise and manage personnel who provide advice and overall planning support for coordination of project milestones and activities to include Configuration Control Board (CCB) functions, Technical Working Group (TWG) functions, technology demonstrations and assessments, transition management, and coordination of external stakeholder participants (National Labs, Red Teams, and other
services
and Commands) involved in technology insertions for military exercises. The System Engineer Principal also oversees the development of operational and functional testing metrics.
Provides support of Operational Test Authorities with documentation, development of test planning and execution, integrated assessment plans, and documentation of test results. Plan, design, and build architectural models to test the effectiveness of advanced tools and technologies for cyber defense.
Coordinates and manages participation by national laboratories, red teams, and other government and academic scientific organizations.
Executes vulnerability assessments and penetration tests of new technologies before use in production environments.
Qualifications
Experience and Education Requirements:
Position requires Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in engineering or other scientific discipline and no less than fifteen (15) years of related experience working as a Senior Level Engineer or Scientist in disciplines specific to those mentioned above with at least five (5) years of supervisory and management experience in related areas as outlined above. May substitute a Master of Science (M.S) in engineering or other scientific discipline and at least 25 years experience, the experience shall be in engineering or scientific disciplines specific to above outlined functions and
the candidate shall have no less than ten (10) years of supervisory and management experience in areas directly related to above outlined functional areas.
The System Engineer Principal is an established practitioner of one or more engineering or scientific disciplines recognized by both peers and external
community
for accomplishments in engineering or scientific disciplines. These disciplines include but are not limited to
electronics
, aeronautics, human factors, manufacturing, product assurance, physical and environmental safety, high altitude and space weather, civil engineering, structural/materials analyses and acquisition.
Secret clearance required.
