Vertical Technologies is currently looking for (1) EXPERIENCED well rounded Tech II to Tech III level heavy / medium equipment diesel mechanic.
Candidate should be a quick learner, able to work under pressure and perform repairs in a professional manner with extreme attention to detail.
Candidate must be a team player and able to follow instruction.
Responsibilities Maintenance, repair, service, and inspection of equipment Able to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems Adjust, repair, or replace all defective equipment parts, components or systems serviced at customer sites Test the repaired equipment for proper performance Maintain a safe and clean work environment Must be able to work with minimal supervision but also participate in the work of other mechanics and apprentices within the shop and field environment Other duties as assigned Ordering necessary parts to get jobs done Required Skills 3-5 years mechanic experience preferably in heavy equipment / similar industry Have own tools and valid drivers' license Able to read / understand low voltage electrical schematics (DC 6-48V) Able to read / understand hydraulic flow chart Must have a demonstrated ability to efficiently diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues in mechanical systems common to construction and/or material handling equipment products Experience operating aerial lift equipment (as listed above) Experience in a customer facing role and a sound understanding of the importance of customer relationships Able to pass CIA / military background checks for DBIDS etc.
Position is Monday - Friday 7AM-3:
30PM with Health/Dental/Vision Benefits after 30 days and 401(k) after 1 year of service.
Possible work vehicle.
Bi-weekly pay.
