Summary:
Manages accounting operations in one or more functional areas.
Job Location:
Remote work is not available in AK, MT, HI (US) and Quebec, Nunavut, NW Territories, Yukon (Canada)Main
Responsibilities:
Personnel management and development of the accounting & finance team (the team), including performance evaluation and coaching.
Working with Human Resources on recruitment and selection of new staff as necessary.
Reviewing of all accounting entries, bank reconciliations and other general ledger account reconciliations.
Analyzing current accounting practices and processes.
Make recommendations and implementing efficiencies within the team and the business to ensuring integrity of the general ledgers.
Manage external and regulatory reviews, audits and examinations when needed and complete requested materials.
Document policies, procedures, and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility and for other businesses within the Company.
Managing escalations relating to billing and collections.
Provide assistance to the planning & analysis function and the tax function on a routine basis.
Performing various ad hoc financial and operational analyses and contributing to department and organization special projects as assigned.
Other duties as allocated.
Qualifications:
Experience:
7 years' relevant work experience to include leadership.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
CPA license required.
Adequate working experience with International Financial Reporting Standards.
Other Requirements:
Demonstrated ability for improving and streamlining accounting processes.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of major accounting software packages for both general ledger and financial reporting.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX and Dynamics 365 preferred.
Fair understanding and appreciation for foreign exchange risks and exposures.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
Been through a system conversion and experience in acceptance testing methodologies.
Strong verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask, work independently and as part of a team in a highly deadline driven environment.
Strong pro-active characteristics.
Ability to work with other functional teams including with business leaders as a finance support.
Strong believer of continuous improvement with an ability to effect process or cultural changes.
Good working knowledge of control over financial reporting (e.
g.
SOX) framework.
Flexible in work schedule to meet the demands of various reporting cycles.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
