Contract Financial Management Analyst

OverviewThe Contract Financial Management Analyst role will support our project delivery team by managing the financial aspects of contracts, ensuring profitability, and compliance with spending caps.
The Contract Financial Management Analyst will be responsible for taking original deal economics and meticulously tracking actuals across several subcontractors working with us to deliver our projects.
Your expertise will help us maintain financial discipline on cost-plus fixed fee (CPFF) contracts, ensuring we stay within our spending cap and maximize profitability.

Responsibilities Financial Tracking and Analysis:
Monitor and analyze financial performance of contracts, including tracking actual spend against budget and forecasts.
Manage financial data across multiple subcontractors and integrate it to provide a comprehensive view of project financials.
Analyze proposed pricing to create financial models for use in delivery of contract.
Maintain and update financial models to reflect changes in pricing, funding, staffing, hours, etc.
Cost Management:
Implement strategies to maintain spending within the contract's cap.
Work closely with project managers, PMO team and subcontractors to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
Forecast burn rates based on funding, staffing levels and projected hours.
Reporting:
Prepare regular financial reports, highlighting variances, risks, and opportunities.
Provide actionable insights to delivery teams and senior management to support decision-making.
Compliance:
Ensure financial practices follow relevant regulations and contractual agreements.
Manage audit processes and documentation to support financial claims and billing.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as a key liaison between project management, subcontractors, and finance teams.
Communicate financial performance and forecasts throughout the life of a contract, ensuring all parties are aligned with financial objectives.
Provide support to Pricing and Proposal teams as needed.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Minimum 4 years of experience in financial management, analysis, or a related role, in a contract-based environment.
Must have a strong understanding of cost-plus fixed fee contracts and experience managing financials within a spending cap.
Working knowledge of Time and Material (T&M) and Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contracts.
Ability to build and maintain Excel based financial models for tracking budgets and spend for over 50 billets.
Experience working with subcontractors and managing cross-functional financial data.
Understanding of the FAR, supplements and federal procurement regulations.
Must be able to pass a background check.
May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
Minimum Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Self-starter, highly motivated and is at ease with handling or managing multiple tasks at any one time Excellent business acumen and industry acumen Ability to analyze a problem and recommend solutions, problem solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
Proficient in MS Office Suite, expert-level in Excel, and familiarity with financial management software Proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting.
Reports to:
Director of OperationsWorking Conditions Professional remote/hybrid office environment.
May be asked to occasionally travel to our office in Arlington, VA to attend meetings with project team.
Must be available to provide support between the hours of 8am - 6pm, US East Coast Time Zone.
Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties while standing for extended periods of time.
Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen.
May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays.
May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.
May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.
