Position Summary Reports to the Senior Manager of In-Flight Services, Base Operations and is responsible for providing leadership, direction and support to Flight Attendants to drive increased performance and a high level of engagement.
Key Responsibilities Be present on the concourse level of the airport (Hub turns / Neighbor Island presence / North America and International Flights) to provide Flight Attendant support Responsible for the application of the DOT random Drug Testing process for Flight Attendants Handles In-Flight delays and irregular operations Represents In-Flight on all Ops Calls Represent In-Flight in Gate actions (medical / law enforcement, etc.
).
Interacts with connecting Flight Attendant's Respond to Flight Attendant requests for assistance at departure gates during boarding process and flight arrivals Coordinate Flight Attendant impact during delays, gate changes and irregular operations to achieve on-time departures and minimize delays attributed to In-Flight Manage delivery of Flight Attendant crew briefings Communicate and administer company policies, procedures, departmental goals and initiatives to Flight Attendants Investigate Consumer Affairs letters and Flight Attendant delays, and follow up in a timely manner Manage attendance, performance, development, and disciplinary issues for Flight Attendants Implement assigned initiatives Handles In-Flight security issues (KCM / AOA, etc.
) Liaison between In-Flight, Catering, and Customer Service departments to ensure highest quality of passenger service Other Duties as assigned Minimum Requirements High School diploma or equivalent education 2 years of management experience or equivalent In-Flight experience Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations Strong verbal and written skills Computer Skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access) Must obtain a Passport, AOA badge and Ramp License Able to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends Hawaiian Airlines is regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT - regulation, 49 CFR part 40) and all applicants are advised that post-offer and/or pre-employment drug testing will be conducted to determine the presence of Marijuana, Cocaine, Opioids, PCP (Phencyclidine), and Amphetamine prior to any offer of employment or transfer into a safety-sensitive position.
Failure to submit to testing or positive indications of drug use will render the applicant ineligible for employment with Hawaiian Airlines and any employment offer will be withdrawn.
