Mortgage Loan Officer - Home Loans Division

Position Function:
Responsible for managing relationships and generating new mortgage loans from Realtors, referral partners, prospective homebuyers and borrowers.
Spends a majority of their time performing outside sales and generating their own new mortgage production.
Multiple levels available based on qualifications.
Performs all duties and interacts with internal and external customers in a manner that is expressly aligned with the Company's Core Values of approaching all actions with a Voyaging Spirit and being Positively Ohana.

Primary Accountabilities:
Individually originate and close a minimum level in residential mortgage loans per month.
(Level to be determined and communicated by management.
) Interview applicants to determine their ability to qualify for a mortgage loan.
Analyze the applicant's financial situation in order to qualify them for the correct loan amount and mortgage program that fits their individual needs.
Input customer information into the loan origination system and all other systems (i.
e.
automated underwriting, contact management, etc.
) as deemed necessary.
Make recommendations regarding credit decisions on residential mortgages to the underwriting representatives of HLD or of various wholesale funding sources.
Monitor loan file throughout the entire process up to and including recordation.
Knowledge of and compliance with state and federal laws, rules and regulations, and the bank's policies and procedures, affecting the employee's job duties and responsibilities that pertain to the Home Loans Division.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma required.
Experience:
3
years in the mortgage industry with a solid knowledge of mortgage loans, including qualifying criteria, individual product parameters and applicable regulatory requirements required.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
Must be able to perform light physical work and to move or lift items including but not limited to boxes, files and papers up to 20 pounds unless otherwise as indicated.
Must be able to operate and proficiently use standard office equipment, including phone, copier, personal computer and/or other work related mechanical or electronic devices and applications.
Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers.
Must also be able to hear sufficiently to engage in daily discussions and interactions.
Must be able to read and understand bank-related documents.
Must be able to work in a conventional office setting, involving sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods of time.
Must also be able to adapt to different work environments as needed to perform the job.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
