Your OpportunityStantec is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer within our Water Business Line in Hawaii.
The position is for water and wastewater professionals who are passionate about teamwork and collaboration.
As an integral part of the team actively participating in our Water Business Line growth efforts in Hawaii, you will be involved in water and wastewater infrastructure planning, design, and construction period services as well as water resource planning, civil and process mechanical design and project management and will have a direct role in impactful and inspiring community defining projects in Hawaii.
Your Key Responsibilities Provide technical support on a wide variety of technical services for project execution and delivery.
Scope of this execution work can vary by project and may include:
Wastewater collection, pumping and treatment, including residuals and biosolids handling and management Water reuse and reclamation treatment, storage, and transmission Water conveyance and transmission, storage, pumping, and treatment Water resource planning Business and management consulting, including financial planning, capital project management, and identification of funding sources Construction period services for both traditional and alternative delivery Program management Resiliency and sustainability Asset Management and Intelligent Platforms Perform engineering analyses, modeling, and calculations and prepare detailed design drawings and specifications.
Help grow key accounts with a focus on water business line technical services, ranging from water and wastewater treatment to conveyance and sustainable water resource management.
Engage our clients in meaningful discussions about their most critical issues and translate those discussions into opportunities to deliver solutions.
Introduce new Stantec service offerings to the client, collaborating with Stantec Subject Matter Experts who focus on service delivery to the Water Industry.
Actively participate in pursuit decisions, and in proposal and pricing development.
Actively participate in regional and national industry groups and workshops to advance the Stantec brand.
Coordinate with Stantec's marketing team to develop targeted branding materials, leverage event participation, and maximize exposure of Stantec's subject matter experts.
Engage and develop relationships with key industry partners that can help advance Stantec's position in the marketplace Identify trends and develop a long-term view of the industry, market, and clients in Hawaii.
Active participation as part of Stantec's dynamic Global technical delivery team Your Capabilities and Credentials Technical acuity in wastewater collection, pumping and treatment, including residuals and biosolids handling and management.
Project management experience and expertise with understanding of relationships and needs between scope, schedule, and budget.
Experience of working successfully across teams that provide solutions to clients' needs.
Understanding of Hawaii's water marketplace, including experience working on projects and with clients in this geography.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Geographically based in Honolulu.
Education and Experience Minimum Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical or Civil/Environmental engineering.
Master's preferred.
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
At least 8 years of relevant professional experience, demonstrating diverse experience in public and municipal sectors associated with the planning, design, and construction of water infrastructure projects.
Preexisting relationships and experience with Water utilities in Hawaii would be ideal.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
