MANAGEMENT OF PATIENT CARE FOR OPTIMAL OUTCOMES Evaluates patients for therapy services.
Collects and interprets data.
Develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans.
Delegates treatment activities to Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA), Rehabilitation Technicians and other support staff as appropriate.
Provides instructions and monitors staff's performance of activities.
Involves patient and provides appropriate treatment.
Consults with and collaborates with other members of the team.
Documents timely and appropriately, in compliance with regulatory, third party payor and REHAB standards, and monitors PTA documentation on a timely basis.
Understands the diversity of patient's needs, and demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient.
Practices safety guidelines required for safe mobility, transfer, proper body mechanics in the delivery of patient care and performance of job duties.
Uses appropriate equipment for personal and patient safety.
DISCHARGE PLANNING Actively involves patient/caregiver in assuring that mutual discharge goals are met.
Recommends home modification and durable medical equipment (DME) needs, as appropriate.
Initiates prescription and assures receipt of appropriate DME/adaptive aids.
Orients and trains patients/caregivers for mobility skills, as appropriate.
Coordinates services effectively to facilitate smooth transition into school/work/community activities.
Recommends appropriate termination of or extension of services in a timely manner.
PROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR Enhances clinical skills through attending workshops, conferences and inservices pertinent to patient care.
Manages time effectively.
Maintains productivity; meets all departmental requests and assignments on a timely basis; effectively monitors and/or completes clinic schedules as needed.
Keeps abreast with current information via attending meeting/reading memorandums.
Reports to area on time.
Participates effectively in marketing/sales to promote REHAB and clinics.
OTHER FUNCTIONS Performs other duties as assigned.
SCOPE OF PRACTICEThe persons served include individuals of all ages, primarily adults, some adolescents and on occasion, pediatrics.
Patients are referred primarily from Hawaii.
JOB SPECIFICATIONSREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSCertification/Licensure:
Current State of Hawaii PT licensure.
Current healthcare CPR certification with one (1) month from date of hire (Healthcare provider course or equivalent which includes neonatal, child, adult, and AED's) and maintains certification thereafter.
Completion of competencies and other job-related and REHAB requirements.
Education Graduate from an APTA accredited school of Physical Therapy.

Experience:
Ability to safely and effectively manage patients' mobility.
Ability to clearly communicate in English, verbally and in writing.
Ability to see and hear to safely provide care to patients.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSSkills/
Experience:
For Inpatient:
One (1) year physical rehabilitation experience.
For Outpatient:
Two (2) years physical rehabilitation experience.
Professional Affiliations American Physical Therapy Association Hawaii Physical Therapy Association EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, WORK AIDS USEDComputer, computerized and written information, facsimile machine, photocopier, telephone, typewriter and related office equipment.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and databases.
May include physical, occupational or speech language pathology devices, such as exercise tables, stationary bicycles, walkers, wheelchairs, practice stairs, pulley and weights, hydrotherapy tanks, splinting devices, and other equipment and apparatus.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
