Analyst II, Corporate Strategy

Job Summary Hybrid Work Environment - Must reside in Hawaii This position helps to develop, operationalize, pilot, and implement frameworks and initiatives to support HMSA's corporate strategy.
A highly collaborative and cross-functional role, this person will collaborate and support managers/lead analysts to develop strategic frameworks, roadmaps, project plans, that support the refinement and execution of strategic priorities and approaches in alignment with HMSA's overall purpose and goals.
This will require working with and mobilizing resources within the Corporate Strategy team and from other departments, in addition to gathering intel and input from key stakeholders (e.
g.
, providers, employer groups, members, community leaders etc.
).
This person will be responsible for supporting the successful planning, development, implementation, and project management, including research, analysis and communication efforts necessary to develop, modify, and deploy department initiatives.
This person may also be responsible for representing the Corporate Strategy department to internal and external partners when appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
Intermediate working knowledge in Microsoft Office applications.
Including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio Knowledge of health care industry trends.
Knowledge of basic relevant statistical analyses Proficiency in issues identification, data collection, analysis, and interpretation Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide information in a formal presentation setting Strong organization and time management skills to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines.
Duties and Responsibilitiesa.
Project management and facilitation Develops and maintains project plans, timelines, and scope documents for strategy initiatives.
Proactively manages deliverables, timelines, and budget:
Monitors and takes appropriate action to ensure various task and system-related deliverables are accomplished in an accurate and timely manner.
Develops strategies and tactics based on research/evidence, logical assumptions and facts considering resources, constraints, and HMSA values Ensures that program documentation and reporting are complete (e.
g.
, project plans, requirements, operational processes etc.
) Facilitates communication and prepare project status updates for senior leadership, partners, providers, employers, or others as appropriate.

Contributes to strategic design, implementation, and management of Corporate Strategy roadmaps, strategic frameworks, and initiatives.
Works with key stakeholders to strategically design and implement strategy initiatives with guidance from executive sponsors, subject matter experts, and other staff as needed.
Utilizes systems-thinking to ensure strategies are designed and managed in integrated ways and in alignment with HMSA corporate strategy, priorities and goals.
Determines and develops business requirements.
Identifies and resolves project issues or issues:
Identifies organizational strengths and weaknesses, and proposes solutions, including documentation via decision documents.

Research and Data analysis Provide quality, objective, and professional analysis of relevant topics.
Gather and analyze information to identify trends, issues, innovations, and potential problems and solutions related to strategy development or implementation.

Support strategy reporting needs, including pulling data and providing reports to providers, employer groups, facilities, etc.

Cross-Functional Integration and Communication:
Work directly with cross-departmental team members to complete tasks, facilitate communication, and provide status updates Work with the project team, HMSA departments and external partners to monitor, collect, communicate, and distribute information.
Appropriately identify communication needs and timelines; Communicate analysis, assessments, recommendations and completed work product through professional written and oral reports and presentations.

Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned or directed to include:
On a regular, sustained basis, cooperates with other staff members both within and outside the department in the accomplishment of one's own job duties as well as assisting other in accomplishing theirs.

#LI-Hybrid Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
