Business Analyst, Value Based Payments

Research and Data analysis:
Supports corporate initiatives, projects surrounding Health division financial performance/impact, initiatives to mitigate medical and drug trend or managing cost of care spend, and value-based programs such as Payment Transformation and health system related programs.
Provides quality, objective, and professional analysis of relevant topics.
Gathers and analyzes information to identify trends, issues, innovations, and potential problems and solutions for priority business needs.
Develops design analysis frameworksPrepares reportsPresents results with recommendationsImplements solutionsIdentifies, analyzes, interprets, and summarizes important trends and patterns in complex data sets.
Supports business unit reporting.
Runs ad hoc analyses for business unit(s).
Provides business insight to other internal departments when working on cross-functional initiatives.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
Performs financial management, financial analysis, and financial forecasting for various areas as directed by the Health Finance team.
Creates financial models to be used for business decisions and negotiations.
Assists with non-claims reporting and budgeting.
Calculates contractual payments for health-related partners.
Meets with various department heads and business owners to gain insights on future contracts and initiatives.
Provides support in financial matters to executive leadership.
Ensures that business plans and activities are tied to and reflected in financial reports.
Other Duties/Functions:
Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned or directed.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
