As a AR/AP Manager on the Navian Hawaii hospice team, you will support a team that guides patients and their families on their journey, delivering comfort and support with a caring heart, replacing fear with hope, helping them find the beauty and joy in every moment, and providing each person with the kindness and dignity they deserve.
The AR/AP Manager, under the supervision of the President & CEO is responsible for the oversight of the Finance department's activities, including financial reporting, record keeping, internal controls, and analysis of financial statements and reports.
The AR/AP Manager ensures that proper accounting procedures are maintained in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
They keep accurate Account Payable & Account Receivable records, including establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors while maintaining a schedule, ensuring invoices are paid in a timely manner.
Additionally, they coordinate with Admissions/Intake to ensure all Billing information is current and accurate.
They make Account Receivable entries and post deposits.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Perform daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial duties as required.
Maintain and analyze daily cash flow requirements.
Prepare and submit annual 1099 forms.
Reconcile monthly development donor reports with Marketing & Development.
Assists the third-party accounting firm in the preparation of monthly financial statements and various monthly reports including monthly grant tracking/reporting and departmental budget vs actual reporting.
Supervises the Billing Coordinator/Staff Accountant with their daily, monthly, and quarterly tasks.
Responsible for the maintenance of control ledgers, registers, journals, and other records as required.
Participates in the collection, compilation, classification, and evaluation of financial data.
Assists in the preparation of annual operating budgets and in the monthly analysis of budget variances.
Coordinates with external auditors on audit engagement and prepares audit work schedules to comply with annual audit requirements.
Coordinates with external tax preparers on tax engagement and prepares tax work schedules to comply with annual Form 990 filing requirements Perform other duties as assigned.
Records and Posts AP invoices in adherence to the Chart of Accounts.
Obtains proper authorization and approvals for bill payment and creates payment batches three times a month.
Reviews AP aging to ensure bills are paid in a timely manner.
Performs accurate data entry of payer remittance and reconciles total to the GL.
Coordinates with Intake and Admissions Team to ensure patients insurances are current and accurate.
Reviews AR Aging reports diligently, troubleshooting collection problems and identifying areas for improvement in admissions and claims processing in coordination with our third party Billing processors.

Experience in healthcare billing and non-profit administration.
Proficient in the use of General Ledger (GL) software, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Excellent written and verbal communication skills Is knowledgeable of and maintains HIPAA standards of privacy and confidentiality.

Must possess a valid Drivers' License, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
Must have acceptable driver's abstract.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
