Project Engineer

National Fire is a full service fire protection service and installation company whose goal is to raise the bar of life safety in the state of Hawaii. We have an immediate opening for an experienced Project Engineer and Designer for engineered fire systems. The Project Engineer opportunity involves office & field environments that support our Oahu construction branch. An independent & results-oriented individual would be a good fit in this friendly organization. An ideal candidate is proficient with technology including, but not limited to, MS Office and AutoCAD, has the ability to design a job start to finish independently, and possess a passion for fire protection education and compliance and a dedication to customer satisfaction.

Duties Include:
Responsible for overall technical operations to include: sales, design, ordering, scheduling, training and commissioning.
Provide supervision and training for technical and non-technical personnel.
Provide input for estimates of both design/build and pre-engineered fire systems.
Produce design drawings for all engineered fire systems.
Coordinate communication between sales, project management, design and installation departments.
Produce shop drawings and pertinent technical closing documents for final approval, correction and delivery to customers.
Supervise project database in order to reduce redundant files and save administrative time.
Present information, orally or written, to senior level executives
Supervise installation personnel to provide work of excellent quality on or ahead of schedule and on or under budget
Requirements:
NICET Level III certification in Fire Alarm
NICET Level II in Special Hazards
AutoCAD experience
Panel programming experience
Electronics or Robotics degree, or 5 years equivalent experience in a related field
Strong written and oral communication
Trustworthy, proactive steward in pursuit of excellence
Clean driver's record with a current, unrestricted driver's license
Able to secure access to County, State and Federal installations
Pass drug screen and background and reference check

Familiarity with Product Lines:
Gamewell/FCI, Notifier, EST, Simplex, Kidde, FireLite, Radionics, Silent Knight and Fike.
Ansul, PyroChem, and Rangeguard. Inergen, FM-200, CO2, VESDA

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
