Yard Service Technician

Our Client is a leading provider of space solutions for the construction, education, energy, industrial, commercial/retail, healthcare, and government markets. With operations in the United States, Mexico, and Canada and serving more than 25,000 customers, this company operates a fleet of nearly 100,000 modular space and secure storage units that are leased through a network of more than 90 branch locations throughout North America.
SKILLED SERVICE TECHNICIAN NEEDED!!
Job Responsibilities include:
o Clean floors, wax floors, inspect electric system as needed, and check scrape and seal roofs. Clean all windows/walls/ceilings/fixtures/doors, perform carpentry repairs as needed. Inspect and repair, if necessary, trailer brakes/hitch/axles/tires, locks on doors, and install company signage per company guidelines.
o Performs all modifications as requested by customers.
o Maintains proper inventory levels of all equipment/tools/parts needed for service tasks.
o Maintains a clean and organized working area inside and out, including lawn, parking lot, and building.
o Maintains a safe working environment and practices safe working habits.
o Provides courteous customer service as needed over the phone and in person. Explains all repairs and services to customers.
o Ensures that upcoming orders for trailers are ready.
o Performs minor service related tasks in yard as requested.
Additional
Responsibilities:
o Conducts service calls in branch territories as assigned.
o Attends bi-monthly safety meetings.
o Assists in ordering materials and unloading material deliveries.
o Forklift operations.
o Office maintenance and repair as needed.
o Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
o High School diploma or equivalent is required.
o Must have carpentry knowledge and experience. Electrical, plumbing, and welding experience is helpful. General contractor's license is preferred.
o A current valid license and a good driving record are required.
o Additional requirements if performing HVAC duties: Must have knowledge and experience with HVAC equipment and appliances. Must hold appropriate licenses as required by law.
o Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment is a must.
o Some knowledge of computers is necessary
o Good communications skills are required for dealing with customers, sales people, contractors, shop personnel, etc.
