Quality Assurance Inspector IV

To ensure that specifications and standards of quality are in compliance with regulations and requirements. Performs and documents in-process and final inspections, as required by the contract inspections plan. Conduct daily surveillances to ensure compliance to contract requirements. Monitors BAE Systems personnel and subcontractor in-process work. Ability to document and report deficient work and make recommendations for corrective actions.
Required to interface with Ship Superintendents, Planning Department and Customer Representatives. Develops Process Control Procedures (PCPs) and QA Test and Inspection Plans (TIPs) for assigned contract/availabilities. Corresponds with Government customer on Corrective Action Reports (CARs). Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
Must be able to obtain and retain RapidGate card.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint).
Must be able to board all ships and enter all spaces regardless of size to complete inspections and verify completed work prior to calling out checkpoints.
Must be able to walk up and down stairs.
Must have a valid driver's license. Ability to handle multiple assignments read and interpret customer specifications and drawing requirements. Strong writing and computer aptitude/skill required to develop and write PCPs and Test Inspection Plans.
Preferred Skills and Education
Preferred Skills:
Previous experience in Quality Assurance. Understanding of Government specifications,and NAVSEA Standard Items. 3 Years' experience in Maritime/Ship Repair and or Naval related industry Understanding and Experience in welding and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Level II experience with PT/MT/UT and/or Paint Preservation background preferred
