Provides direct end-user support services to patient care teams in clinical work settings to facilitate the introduction, acceptance, integration, and effective use of computerized information and patient care management systems. Provides visible, accessible, and on-going presence in the medical office to support and assist end-users in all aspects of information system and computer usage.
Essential Functions:
- Provides automated medical record system product expertise to automated medical record system users, including ancillaries.
- Available to end user onsite, via telephone, and pages.
- Serves as onsite user support person.
- Works with users one-on-one, in small groups, and in staff meetings.
- Trains new features. Improves user efficiency.
- Communicates automated medical record system information and updates.
- In addition, serves as coach once active deployment is completed.
- Works with users one-on-one, in small groups, and in staff meetings.
- Partners with KP HealthConnect Systems Analyst, local and National Help Desk, local and National Customer Support, and KPIT in automated medical record system problem reporting.
- Identifies trends and patterns of user issues/problems in clinical content, workflow, scope of practice, and training.
- Partners with each of these areas to determine formal and informal training needs.
- Participates in system crisis (impact) calls and communication to users of crisis updates.
- Trains and supports new hires in coordination with the KP HealthConnect training team.
- Trains and supports users on various system upgrades.
- Verifies security profiles with system administrator.
- Schedules training sessions.
- Suggests modifications of schedules to allow for training and implementation of system.
- Arranges kickoff meetings.
- Schedules workflow meetings to begin shortly after kickoff.
- Identifies workflow representatives from clinic with management.
- In addition, plans for modifications of schedules to allow for training and implementation of system.
- Identifies workflow representatives from clinic.
- Inventories hardware and verifies printers are mapped.
- Schedules post-deployment debriefs.
- Confirms that schedules have been modified for training and deployment.
- Reviews training lists with supervisor.
- Provides ordering information to supervisor.
- Tests printers. Issues training schedules, maps, and parking instructions.
- Works with site leadership to monitor users' progress, use, and needs.
- Assists site super users in providing department-appropriate support and learnings.
- In addition, partners with site super users to provide department-appropriate support and learnings.
- Supports training and support team when possible.
- Works closely with IT site leads and help desk to broaden automated medical record system working knowledge and skills.
- Acts as liaison between assigned user groups and KP HealthConnect project team.
- Communicates project initiatives and identifies issues to the project team. In addition, shares project efforts and communicates issues to project team.
- Remains available during hours of clinic operation and 24/7 by pager and cell phone.
- Meets with and provides coverage for other site specialist as needed.

Experience
- Minimum one (1) year of health care planning, administration, or project management experience.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, health care administration, public health, computer science, management information systems (MIS), or related field, OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
License, Certification, Registration

Additional Requirements:
- Working knowledge of Health Plan and clinical environment, operations and points of interface with other entities within the organization.
- Demonstrated proficiency in issues identification and data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in oral communication, written communication, interpersonal relations, organizational planning, project management, functional analysis, problem solving, conflict resolution, team building, and influence/negotiation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in word processing, multimedia presentations, spreadsheet, and database PC applications.
Preferred
Qualifications:
- Previous clinical systems implementation experience with knowledge of clinical processes.
- Master's degree in related field.
- Working knowledge of automated medical record system applications or similar software.
External hires must pass a background check/drug screen.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
