Project:
The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Maritime Pearl Harbor manages a program requirement for customer support/interface, material handling, inventory management, technical screening oversight, data entry and database management of their existing excess parts, enabling the mission commander to execute individual and collective support, as needed, at Pearl Harbor. The DLA Maritime Pearl Harbor also provides logistics and supply support services for the repair, maintenance, and modernization of Pacific fleet units to the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard.
The primary purpose of this Task Order is to establish and maintain complete and proper program management and operations for DLA Maritime Pearl Harbor by providing subject matter expertise to ensure the personnel and management oversight necessary to work with identified parties at DLA Maritime: 1) to support technical review services, 2) to provide material handling, 3) to perform data entry into new or existing databases and provide database management services, 4) to provide data/metrics as requested by DLA Maritime, and 5) to provide management/supervision of the personnel performing these tasks.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- High school diploma (or equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant work experience, including 3-5 years of prior inventory control experience.
- Proficient keyboard skills and a working knowledge of MS Windows and related word processing, spreadsheet, and database software is required. Assignments will require a working knowledge of Electronic Inventory Management Systems.
- Good written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with project and client personnel and management. Must be organized and have good record keeping skills.
- Must have ability to work independently with minimal supervision, prioritize multiple tasks, meet established deadlines and produce quality work.
- Knowledge of Naval shipyard operations and inventory logistics software programs is preferred.
Local candidates or non-locals who can pick up their own relocation expenses are highly preferred as the position does not support relocation.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
