Project:
The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Maritime Pearl
Harbor manages a program requirement for customer
support/interface, material handling, inventory management,
technical screening oversight, data entry and database
management of their existing excess parts, enabling the
mission commander to execute individual and collective
support, as needed, at Pearl Harbor. The DLA Maritime
Pearl Harbor also provides logistics and supply support
services for the repair, maintenance, and modernization of
Pacific fleet units to the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard.
The primary purpose of this Task Order is to establish and
maintain complete and proper program management and
operations for DLA Maritime Pearl Harbor by providing
subject matter expertise to ensure the personnel and
management oversight necessary to work with identified
parties at DLA Maritime: 1) to support technical review
services, 2) to provide material handling, 3) to perform data
entry into new or existing databases and provide database
management services, 4) to provide data/metrics as
requested by DLA Maritime, and 5) to provide management/
supervision of the personnel performing these tasks.

The personnel selected to fill the material handling/inventory
management positions will be responsible for performing
data entry, inventory management, and material handling
services relative to the needs of the Pacific Fleet and the
Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard. Required duties include, but
are not limited to the following:
- Identify and inventory material in location
- Provide data entry services into excess inventory
database
- Relocate unidentified, broken or incomplete unit of
issue material for technical review
- Provide data of material not found in location or any
quantity discrepancies
- Consolidate, re-package and mark material and
update location
- Trigger Material movement documents (MMDs) in
Material Access Technology System (MAT), pull material,
segregate for shipping to customers or to Distribution Depot
Pearl Harbor (DDPH) for disposition

Qualifications - External
Requirements:
- High school diploma (or equivalent) and 0-4 years of
relevant work experience in material handling and inventory
management.
- Requires a basic knowledge of general office
practices, as well as a familiarity with MS Windows and
related word processing, spreadsheet, and database
software are required. Some assignments may require
familiarity with electronic inventory management
systems. Good written and oral communication skills are
prerequisites.
- Some job activities require that the incumbent lift and
move supplies, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50
pounds. Incumbent will be required to prepare materials for
shipping and may require learning how to operate a forklift
or other small equipment required to move the materials.
- Knowledge of Naval shipyard operations and inventory
logistics software programs is preferred.
Local candidates or non-locals who can pick up their own
relocation expenses are highly preferred as the position
does not support relocation assistance.
