JOB SUMMARY/
Responsibilities:
Patrols the buildings and grounds of The Queen's Medical Center (QMC) as well as the outlying properties to provide a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, employees, medical staff and the protection to property.
Greets, assists and provides service to patients, visitors and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
Performs duties relative to accomplishing the QMC Emergency Preparedness function.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Essential:
Standing, sitting, walking, running, driving/riding of a bicycle, twisting/side bending, climbing, squatting, bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing stairs, seeing, hearing, speaking, lifting 30 to 50 pounds, carrying 35 to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds of force.
Frequent:
standing, walking, driving, climbing stairs.
Occasional:
sitting, lifting/carrying 21 pounds up to 35 pounds from ground to shoulder level, lifting 11 pounds up to 20 pounds above shoulder, pushing/pulling up to 70 pounds of force, twisting of body, reaching above shoulder level, forward reaching, walking on uneven ground.
Operates computer, typewriter, telephone, copier, CCTV, 2-way radios and various types of vehicles.

Qualifications:
A.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Post secondary coursework or college degree preferred.
Current State of Hawaii Guard Registration card.
Valid U.
S.
driver's license required in accordance with Hawaii state law rules and regulations.
Driver's abstract or evidence of good driving record.
Meet and comply with qualifications set forth in QMC Fleet Safety Policy.
Current BLS-HCP certification.
B.
Experience:
Previous law enforcement, firefighting or security experience preferred.
Experience to demonstrate:
o Customer service skills to deal effectively with customers.
o Ability to write complete and accurate reports.
o Ability to speak, read, write and understand English both orally and in writing and the ability to effectively communicate ideas, thoughts, and concerns.
