Neonatology Nurse Practitioner

HI, HONOLULUKAISER PERMANENTENEONATAL NP Start date upon credentialing (30-60 days) - 3-month contract, with options to extend every 3 months. Flexible schedule but hours are either 7a-7p or 7p-7a. 3 days on/3 days off. Types of cases/patients:
NICU Level III. daily census 12-14. Delivery estimated 1200-1300 per year. Will attend C-sections and high-risk deliveries. EMR:
Epic Certifications required/accepted:
BLS from AHA, Neonatal Resuscitation Certification, Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certificate, HI license preferred but will consider licensing. Miscellaneous:
Must be comfortable with Chest Tube Insertion, Central Lines, Intubations. Will not do Circumcisions; Interprets antenatal/perinatal health history. Assesses gestational age. Performs resuscitation of newborns in delivery room and in Neonatal Units with use of bag and mask, laryngoscopy, endotracheal intubation, cardiac compressions, intravenous access, and emergency medications. Performs physical exams and evaluations on infants in the Delivery, Neonatal and Mother-Baby Units. Performs specialized procedures on high-risk infants to include umbilical artery and vein catheterization, endotracheal intubation, suprapubic bladder tap, lumbar puncture, peripheral central venous catheterization, peripheral artery catheterization, needle aspiration of pneumothorax, sepsis work-ups and other procedures following clinical competencies for advanced practice. NO NEW GRADS! One year post-grad is required. This is a 1099 contract position. Medical Malpractice Insurance provided, no other employee benefits are available.
