NUCLEAR ENGINEER with Security Clearance

Dutieso You will be responsible for assuring compliance with NAVSEA and engineering standards, codes, techniques, practices, and technologies by application of engineering theories, principles, practical concepts, processes, and systems.
o You will witness the qualification of welding procedures, welders, special purpose lead workers, destructive and non-destructive test personnel on periodic basis.
o You will review records of welder and welder operator's qualifications and requalification's.
o You will request requalification of procedures, and personnel if you have reason(s) to believe they are not capable of meeting the specified requirements.
o You will request qualification of equipment if you have reasons to doubt the capability of the equipment.
o You will witness and approve liquid penetrant procedure requalification and notify in writing the Quality Assurance/Nuclear Quality Control Office of the test results.
o You will review records of welder's prior failures to meet qualification requirements prior to retesting of the welder to evaluate the need for additional training prior to retesting and subsequent authorization to perform a retest.
o You will review completed weld records for proper NDT/completion on a sample basis.
o You will review and sign all weld records unless specifically waivedRequirements Conditions of Employmento Must be a US Citizen.
