Clinical Research Coordinator - Clinical Trials
Job DescriptionFounded in 1921, Straub Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawai'i.
With over 200 physicians who are leaders in their fields, Straub provides its patients with diagnoses and treatments for more than 32 different medical specialties, including bone and joint, heart, cancer, endocrinology/diabetes, family medicine, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, internal medicine, vascular and urology.
Straub is home to the Pacific Region's only multidisciplinary burn treatment center.
The hospital consistently brings new technologies and innovative medical practices to Hawai'i, such as minimally invasive cardiac surgery and total joint replacement.
Through clinical trials, the newest, most promising medications, medical devices, and treatment protocols are made available to patients.
The Clinical Trials team at Hawai'i Pacific Health Research Institute (HPHRI) supports clinical trials within the Hawai'i Pacific Health network of hospitals to expand our knowledge and better provide top quality medical care to Hawai'i's populations.
We participate in more than 200 clinical trials a year, working with more than 70 principal investigators who are overseen by our highly trained professional staff of care providers and research managers.
If you have excellent patient care skills and an interest in contributing to groundbreaking clinical research, you could be an ideal candidate for our Clinical Research Coordinator position.
In this role, you will perform nursing functions and coordinates all aspects related to implementation of research protocols or clinical trials with an emphasis on patient relations.
We are looking for someone with an understanding of clinical research protocol, the ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and a commitment to helping our organization deliver the highest quality health care to Hawai'i's people.

Qualifications:
Current Hawai'i Registered Nurse License and Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS).
Two (2) years recent acute care registered nurse experience.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Clinical Research Certification, One (1) year clinical research experience.
Must obtain Good Clinical Practice certification within 90 days of hire.
