Development Specialist

The Development Specialist is responsible for critical administrative, operations and project management support for the Development department to advance the organization's fund development strategies.
Activities will include, but are not limited to, donor cultivation and database management, corporate and foundation relations and special event coordination.
Complies with company code of ethics, confidentiality, HIPAA, safety and all other policies and procedures.
Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:
Ensures that fund development is performed in alignment with HHH's values and mission and its strategic vision and plans.
Assists in the development and execution of short-and long-term fund development plans, budgets and collateral that utilize best practices to meet revenue goals.
This includes but it's not limited to major and corporate gifts, annual fund, planned giving, capital campaigns, grants and government contracts, and special projects.
Oversees the maintenance of donor and prospect records, donor management system, and ensures that regular reports and analyses are provided to the CEO and development committee.
Responsible for the security and integrity of data management system.
Processes gifts and donor acknowledgements timely and accurately.
Researches and identifies prospective new donors and proactively initiates sponsorship and funding opportunities.
Establishes and maintains positive relationships with all supporters.
Coordinates all aspects of fundraising events from planning to execution, including product sales, obtaining items for sale in auctions and acquiring donations.
Provides general administrative and operational support, including answering phones, processing mailings, maintaining accurate files and responding to requests for information; Serves as a representative of HHH in the community with local leaders, organizations, business and corporate partners and other leaders to build relationships that closely link the community with HHH.
Other duties and responsibilities are assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, communications or related fields preferred; 1-3 years in fundraising or related field that provides an equivalent skillset in a nonprofit environment, and a proven track record of helping donors meet their philanthropic Superior organizational, communication (written & oral) and interpersonal skills with proven ability to interact with a diverse range of individuals both in person and over the phone, via email and in written correspondence Great attention to detail, follow-through and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
Motivated self-starter with an entrepreneurial drive and creativeness to generate new ideas and strategies that help build a dynamic and compelling fundraising program.
Experience and skill working with donor database systems (including query and report writing) and knowledge and proficiency in development operations and best practices; Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; Current Driver's License, clean drivers abstract, willingness to travel and use a properly insured vehicle.
Preferred
Qualifications:
3 years of experience working in the health and human services sector, especially related to underserved populations.
Experience developing and implementing a comprehensive development plan for a non-profit organization.
Experience planning large-scale events and fundraisers.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
