JOB SUMMARY/
Responsibilities:
Observes monitors for patients needing enhanced observation or is a high risk fall patient.
Provides notification to appropriate staff when patient needs assistance in monitoring rooms.
II.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Required:
standing, sitting, walking, stooping/bending, twisting body, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, and repetitive arm/hand motions.
Occasional:
frequent gripping of an object.
III.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
Exposure to electrical current, collodion, collodion remover and fumes.
Minimal exposure to communicable diseases; occasional exposure to body fluids.
Must be flexible to work all shifts to support clinical operations.
IV.
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
A.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Current BLS certification.
B.
Experience:
Experience in patient care or related field preferred.
Experience to demonstrate:
o Ability to follow procedures/guidelines and keep accurate records.
o Ability to speak, read, write and understand English both orally and in writing.
o Familiarity with computers and automated systems.
