Responsibilities:
This position is located in Kaneohe Bay, HI.
Candidate will provide Operation and Maintenance (O&M) and Network Engineering support to the Marine Corps SIPRNET (Classified) network infrastructure providing end-to-end troubleshooting of the network infrastructure and protocols, which may include some or all the following tasks as directed by the government:
Provide technical support for the MCEN Wide Area Network (WAN)/Base Area Network (BAN)/Local Area Network (LAN) architecture
Provide service desk support for SIPRNet related incidents, track and assist resolution of trouble tickets using local and/or enterprise Government -provided tools (i.e., Remedy, Altiris) to resolve tickets remotely or assign a local technician
Coordinate with the local G6 to schedule and support equipment refresh for SIPR equipment
Install, maintenance, update, configuration, troubleshoot hardware and software (HW/SW)
Follow local SOPs and TTPs to perform maintenance, repair, and upgrade of end user and network transport layer hardware and software'
Configure, set-up and troubleshoot SIPR VTC issues
Provide technical expertise in all phases of equipment / application life cycles beginning with initial planning and feasibility analysis through implementation and enhancements
Update trouble tickets, service requests and reply to emails.
Other SIPR tasks as required

Qualifications:
Two (2) years college in a computer field from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of related experience or any equivalent combination for a total of six (6) years. Progressive relevant training and/or certification may be substituted for one (1) year of the education or experience requirements.
Must have Level I IAT certification (A+, Network+, or SSCP). Level II IAT certification preferred (Security +, GSEC, SCNP, or SSCP)
The preferred candidate will have previous relevant Network experience in the DoD environment
Ability to obtain & maintain a DoD Secret clearance is required. Candidate selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and/or facilities
Physical Requirements:
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require filing, typing, and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, included but not limited to: bending, reaching, turning and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required.
Work Environment:
Generally an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task. An inside environment may be a cubicle (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting). Outside work may include various environmental conditions including warm and cold climates. Needs to be able to work well with co-workers and all levels of management. No hazards on job or unusual environmental conditions.
Equipment and Machines:
Ability to operate office equipment such as a personal computer, printer, copy machine, telephone, fax machine and other equipment including desk supplies and other work related tools as required.
Attendance:
Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday-Friday. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines. Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements. Located in government office spaces in Kaneohe Bay, HI.

Essential Functions:
Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers. Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to employees or others. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Independent personal transportation to office or work site is required. Travel to and from customer's locations and the test fields may be required to support projects. This may involve airline travel. In some cases, accommodations can possibly be made for POV, if necessary. When operating any vehicle for work purposes, must wear seat belt and in addition, no cellular devices are to be used when vehicle is in motion.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
