Key Role:
Provide overall management and operational guidance for Global Broadcast System (GBS) usage in the USPACOM AOR. Coordinate the dissemination of information products from different information sources. Coordinate the GBS broadcast schedule. Identify new GBS products. Schedule and coordinate GBS Authorized Service Interruptions. Serve as the focal point for GBS users in the Pacific region. Process, validate, and program GBS mission requests.
Basic
Qualifications:
-3 years of experience with submitting or processing GBS Mission Requests
-Experience with the USPACOM C4 Access Request System (CARS)
-Experience with managing apportioned resources and prioritizing operational mission requirements
-Knowledge of Global Broadcast System (GBS) program, mission, functions, capabilities, and equipment
-Knowledge of IP Streaming services and Store and Forward services
-TS/SCI clearance
-AA or AS degree
Additional Qualifications
-Experience with using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Share Point
-Experience in working with the Regional SATCOM Support Centers (RSSCs)/Plus if worked with the RSSC - Pacific
-Knowledge of DoD regulations and protocols for Satellite Communications (SATCOM)
-Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
-Ability to run GBS programs
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-AA or AS degree in CS
