Key Role:
Evaluate a DoD Command''s progress toward achieving strategic theater, regional, and country objectives and develop metrics and indicators to capture environmental, strategic, operational, and tactical level factors. Support CONPLAN and irregular warfare analysis assessments and higher headquarters assessments. Apply expertise in research, analysis, and communications to perform qualitative analysis and quantitative analytics on indicator data. Perform extensive all source research on various aspects of countries in the PACOM theater with a focus on Southeast Asia. Develop and refine assessment frameworks and implement analytical and technical solutions that facilitate assessment analysis. Document progress over time, recommend appropriate adjustments, and validate the commitment of constrained resources by articulating the effectiveness of operations, actions, and activities. Work effectively within a team-oriented environment and with other staff elements and commands to build relationships, garner support, and obtain data.

Qualifications:

years of experience in DoD or the PACOM theater
5
years of experience with operational and strategic research and analysis
5
years of experience with the US military
2
years of experience with conducting assessments, including objectives, intermediate military objectives, effects, measures of effectiveness, or measures of performance
Knowledge of Southeast Asian countries
Knowledge of systems and implementing solutions to facilitate assessments
Ability to apply expertise to metrics development, assessment analysis, and development of alternative solutions and gather, analyze, and organize large amounts of quantitative and qualitative data
Ability to conduct in-depth research on a range of topics and functional areas and develop and present analyses using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
TS/SCI clearance
BA or BS degree required

Experience with planning and Theater Campaign Plans
Experience with policy and posture
Possession of excellent analytical skills with a high degree of skill in analytical reasoning
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
MA or MS degree
